Zoom & OneNote Setup Instructions

Picture
I never imagined that online lessons could be as entertaining and educational as traditional in-person lessons.
Due to the pandemic, a need was created to adapt traditional lessons into a new and exciting digital format.
I have spent the last year setting up what I believe to be the best online learning experience anywhere. And the loyalty exhibited by my new and long-term students
has been proof of the reimagined online learning success!

What Do I Need To Get Started?

1) Internet Connection

  • DSL, Cable, or Fiber Optic Internet Service
  • 8-12 Mbps Download Speed or More
Click Here to test your download speed
  • Note - It is important to be close to your home router during lessons. Being in a room too far away can cause Zoom connection issues.

2) Two Digital Devices

  • You will need 2 digital devices during lessons - One for Zoom and another for Microsoft OneNote
  • Desktop computers, laptops or tablets are recommended. Using a phone for one of your devices is possible but will not yield the best lesson experience.

100% Digital Guitar Lesson Workbook

You will fall off your dinosaur when you see how cool and convenient this software is. Traditional guitar lessons require that students keep a physical lesson book. These days it's all about smartphones, tablets and PCs.
Microsoft OneNote allows you to have your entire Lesson Workbook with you wherever you go:
Songs, Exercises, Music Theory right in the palm of your hand.

  • Having an external pair of speakers hooked up to your device will also enhance the lesson experience but is also not required.
  • There are a few advanced audio settings that Zoom now offers. We will take a few minutes to adjust them together during our first lesson.

That's everything!
